Symphony 2019 Calendar

Photographing Elephants is a fantasy almost every photographer holds and to somebody who has adored and admired these gentle giants even before I held a camera in my hands, a chance to work with them closely for a cause that I care deeply about, is a dream come true. When the discussion came up, on what this year’s theme for the Sahodaran Calendar would be, I had no choice but to go all out and suggest Elephants. After much hesitation, I got the green light. It was by sheer coincidence that we came across Unnikrishnan, the Movie Star Elephant from Mundakayam. Even though I had mere minutes to get 6 shots with him, this handsome tusker was a riot to work with. Naughty and yet Gentle, he made sure to get all the help from the elements around to make the shoot an adventure. Shooting with these extraordinary animals has been one of the best experiences of my life so far and to have had the opportunity to contribute to Sahodaran’s cause through this, is a blessing.
